What about those libraries?
* You need the WinPed program in order to use any of the libraries.
* The Pedigrees in the Libraries are primarily pedigrees of champions and producers of champions.
* With Load and Paste, Extract, and Fill-It Up (available in WinPed_8.5 and later versions) you can use a library to construct and save many more pedigrees and to trace back ancestors along as many lines as you have data for.
* 5-generation pedigrees contain 63 names. We start counting the generations behind the animal, i.e. Sire and Dam are generation 1, Grand-Sire and Grand-Dam are generation 2, etc. In human genealogy, and in some animal databases on the Internet, some consider these 5-generation pedigrees as 6-generation pedigrees because they count the animal as generation 1, its parents as generation 2, etc.
* In a given library, the database of the total number of individual dogs, with known sires and dams, is much larger than the number of pedigrees, and we don't count animals whose parents are not known.
* Unlike some databases, names and titles in the libraries are NOT chopped off in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th generations.

Beagle Library :
A Beagle Library with 302 pedigrees. These are mostly full 5-generation pedigrees of show animals, complete with Conformation titles (Ch., Can Ch., Eng Ch., Aust Ch, Am/Can Ch., Am/Aust Ch., etc.)

German Shepherd Dog Libraries:
Two German Shepherd Dog Libraries are offered. One with
more than 2000 American-bloodline pedigrees and one with more than 500
German-bloodline pedigrees. These are mostly 5-generation pedigrees, complete with AKC and/or German
conformation titles (GV, Sel., Ch., VA, V, SG, etc.), working titles (CD, CDX, UD, TD,
SchH, IPO, FH, HGH, etc.), and certifications (ROM, OFA, Kkl, etc.)

Mastiff Library:
This (English) Mastiff Library contains 654 mostly full 5-generation pedigrees, each of which has a known sire and dam, complete with Conformation titles (Ch., Can. Ch., Eng. Ch., Am/Can Ch., Eng/Am Ch., BIS, BISS, etc.), Working titles (CD, CDX, UD, DD, WD, etc.) and Certifications (CGC, OFA, etc.). These pedigrees are based on information from the Internet, breeders, and the De Vine Farm Pedigree database. Names, Titles, and punctuations are consistent within the library.

Shetland Sheepdog Library
This is a Shetland Sheepdog Pedigree Library with
1227 mostly full 5-generation pedigrees, complete with Conformation titles (Ch., Can. Ch., Eng
Ch., Am/Can Ch., Eng/Am Ch., BIS, BISS, etc.), Certifications (ROM, ROMC, ROM/C, CGC, OFA,
and CC, 2CC, 3CC*), and working
titles (CD, CDX, UD, TD, HC, etc.). These pedigrees are based on data from Susan
Bowling's web site; Robert L. Miller, Ph.D., books and web site; and on information from
other breeders of Shetland Sheepdogs. Names, titles, and punctuations are consistent
within the library.
* Yes, there is one Shetland Sheepdog with more than 300 Best of Breed wins and still going. CC is the Roman Numeral for 100 and Shelties with a CC (more than 100 BOB wins), 2CC (more than 200 BOB) and 3CC (more than 300 BOB) are "members" of the elite Century Club :-).

Siberian Husky Library:
A Siberian Husky Pedigree Library of more than 650 mostly 5-Generation Pedigrees, complete with Conformation titles (Ch., Can. Ch., Eng Ch., Am/Can Ch., Eng/Am Ch., BIS, BISS, etc.) and working titles (CD, CDX, UD, SD, SDX, etc.). These pedigrees are based on data from: the Internet, Alice Watt's (Kossok Siberians) database, and on information supplied by several breeders, who graciously responded to our inquiries when discrepancies or gaps in information were encountered. Names, titles, and punctuations are consistent within the library.
